Rock Hill SC Geriatric Dentistry
Cranford Dental cares for a large number of senior adults in our Rock Hill dental office. Our dentists and hygienists are committed to providing the best care possible for patients who want to keep healthy teeth as they grow older.
With older adults, we are concerned about increased medications that may cause dry mouth. Also, we consider the loss of dexterity that may lessen the ability of aging adults to keep the oral tissues clean.
Our dentists want to ensure that our patients can chew and smile. And we want them to like their smile. Most important, we want elderly patients to enjoy good oral health throughout their lifetime.
Our location at the corner of Ebenezer Road and Herlong Avenue makes us convenient to the local retirement centers in Rock Hill. We are near Piedmont Medical Center and only a few blocks from Chandler Place, Westminster Towers, and Park Pointe Village. Thankfully, drivers from these villages know exactly how to find us.
Give Cranford Dental a call if you would like to discuss concerns with you teeth and mouth. Or contact us at 803-324-7670 or email our office for an appointment.
Resources for Senior Adults

What do we offer older adults?
There is technically no “geriatric dentist” specialty. We have developed a special interest in this area during our many years of treating elderly patients in our Rock Hill office.
- Our dentists take extra time to listen to the specifics of what our geriatric patients need and want.
- Our staff designs a treatment plan that lines up with the patient’s desire to restore and maintain her teeth.
- We are not pushy or demanding as we suggest what we see as the best options for overall health and well-being of each patient. As with all of our patients, we desire “to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason”.
- Dentists and staff often make recommendations that will help the senior adults maintain their teeth. This includes electric or sonic toothbrushes, water picks, fluoride gel use, bleach trays to reduce bacterial plaque. Also, if needed, more frequent preventive dental cleanings.
Our goal is to provide great care for a very reasonable cost and to make sure that patients keep as many of their natural teeth as possible.
Please email or call Cranford Dental at 803-324-7670 if you have questions about geriatric care or if we can help you in any way.
