Thanks to our intern, Cooper Aiken, for writing this post about what he feels sets Cranford Dental apart. Cooper has worked in our office for the past 18 months learning how a dental practice operates.

Great Dental Work
Throughout my life, I have gone to the dentist for cleanings and exams every six months, almost without fail. I feel right at home in the dental chair. But even if you’re not a regular like me, everybody knows that to be a great dentist, you must do great dental work!
I have visited many different offices over the years, and they all had something in common: the work was great. I got the impression that there was nothing more to a dental office than good dental care…then I started working at Cranford Dental.
We all enjoyed getting to know and work with Cooper. He loves people and has a helpful attitude. He will be a great dentist one day. Thanks for all you did at our office, Cooper.

View of “Great” Changed
I have come to realize that an office’s attitude towards patients is what separates “great” from “good.” The dentists at Cranford Dental perform quality work on patients they know and care about.
This is different from dental offices I visited in the past. In fact, you’re not just a patient here, you’re a respected friend.
Rather than make appointments short so we can see as many patients as possible in a day, at Cranford Dental we allow time to sit down, catch up and have great conversations. For us, dentistry isn’t as much about seeing teeth as it is about building relationships.
This is especially important for patients who may have anxiety about visiting the dentist. They feel comfortable here.
Building Trust
Part of a great relationship involves building trust. The doctors and staff at Cranford Dental really go the extra mile to earn your trust.
You won’t be sold treatment you don’t need at this office! From check-in to check-out, we make sure that you’re aware of what’s going on throughout the whole process.
It’s not our goal to make decisions for you, but to inform sufficiently so that you can make your own decisions about your care. Our patients really can trust us to look after their best interests.
Amazing Staff

What really sets Cranford apart is the passionate nature of the staff . We believe that technology, contining education, and the latest in dental science are important – but our desire to help others is key.
I have seen the doctors and staff really go above and beyond to make someone’s day better, whether it’s giving a friendly hug or even working after hours. We’re not satisfied until patients are smiling big!
I had never experienced such a unique combination of skill and compassion until I began working at Cranford Dental. The doctors and staff aren’t just great providers, they’re great people too.
They will always treat you right, earn your trust, and passionately serve your needs. This office truly is a special place to work!

Thanks for this Internship
Thank you to Dr. Cranford, Dr. Robinson, Martha, Kathy, Lisa and Everyone at Cranford Dental, for everything you have taught me.
My biggest lesson was seeing that you all enjoy coming to work each day. I saw that you love working as a team to provide the best possible experience for the friends who visit your office.
Cooper Aiken
I learned to schedule appointments, take phone calls, navigate dental software, assist the doctors during procedures, work with insurance payments, sterilize dental instruments, run staff meetings, and make an office run smoothly.
The dentists taught me how important it is to use top technology in the right way. You demonstrated the importance of keeping up with dental education.
I learned how to hire a great staff and then to equip them to do the best job possible. I saw you treat each patient and staff member with care and respect.
Trusted Local Dentist
As I begin my dental education at the University of North Carolina, I know that my experience as a dental intern has greatly prepared me for the rigors of dental school and a dynamic career.
My goal is to become a trusted dentist who serves his community’s needs.
If I can answer questions about my experience as a dental intern or dental student, ask the staff here to put you in touch with me: Call 803-324-7670 or contact Cranford Dental online.
