At Cranford Dental we resolve to offer the best dentistry possible for our community.
We love living and working in Rock Hill, South Carolina and appreciate our wonderful friends and patients here. Thus we want to continue to provide excellent dental care in York County.
2020 makes 8 years of Dr. Cranford and Dr. Robinson working together at Cranford Dental. Here they share their resolutions to offer quality, ethical modern dentistry to Rock Hill and York County.
Dr. Bill Cranford is as passionate about dental care as he was when he opened his dental practice in Rock Hill in 1983. He resolves to keep moving forward in dental excellence.
Dr. Cranford’s New Year Resolutions:
Best Dental Care Possible
I resolve to give the best possible care to my patients. This means listening to their concerns and wants.
In addition, I will take time to educate each patient so that she can make the correct informed decision about her care.
Most important: I promise to always do the right thing at the right time for the right reason.
Respect Staff
I resolve to care for my terrific staff: to be supportive and help them grow in their careers.
This means showing my appreciation through word and actions. I acknowledge that Cranford Dental serves best with the dedication to excellence of each staff member.

Modern Dentistry
I resolve to continue to use the best available technology at Cranford Dental.
We use digital imaging and digital radiography and other innovations to keep our dental practice safe and comfortable. We began using CEREC to make one day crowns in 2001.
In late 2019 we were some of the first dentists in the country to use PrimeScan, the latest digital technology. It makes a more accurate scan in 1/10 the time of our old CEREC scanner.
Our commitment for 2020: Maximize precision of PrimeScan to make beautiful one day CEREC dental crowns, dentures, and other restorations that fit well and feel natural.
Our PrimeScan will help us assure comfortable dentistry and timely delivery. We are happy to offer PrimeScan in Rock Hill.
Continuing Education
I resolve to continue my education as I have done for my entire career.
During 2020 I will:
- Stay on the cutting edge of dental and medical knowledge that pertains to my dental patients
- Be a lifelong learner about dentistry and life
- Continue being curious
- Apply the education and knowledge to be the best dentist that I can be
Personal Health
I resolve to maintain my physical, mental, and spiritual health.
My goal is to continue to serve my patients, this community, our fine staff, and my family with excellence. I want to look forward to coming to work every day in a profession that I love.
Taking good care of myself will help me take good care of others.
I love reflecting on the resolutions of theologian Jonathan Edwards from over 300 years ago (the first two and the 70th of 70 resolutions):
Dr. Bill Cranford
1.) I will live for God.
2.) If no one else does, I will.
3.) That I will live so as I wish I had done when I come to die.
Elizabeth Cranford Robinson joined Cranford Dental in 2015. Her philosophy about dentistry and life were a perfect match for our Rock Hill practice.
She resolves to offer excellent dentistry to the next generation of Cranford Dental patients.
Dr. Robinson’s New Year resolutions:
Training and Ethical Dentistry
I resolve to follow Dr. Cranford’s motto to do the right thing, at the right time, and for the right reason. Cranford Dental is an excellent dental practice because we have always followed this philosophy.
This means learning and growing so that I can provide my patients with the care they need, when they need it. And asking my staff to hold me to excellence and ethics in dentistry.
Encourage Younger Patients

I resolve to make Cranford Dental a great place for young families. This includes helping young patients develop good dental habits.
Our staff does a good job with all our patients. But they especially enjoy taking care of our children.
Children love coming to Cranford Dental, and parents feel confident bringing their children to see us. We will work hard to keep it that way.
Community Involvement
I resolve to support my community. So that Rock Hill remains a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
York County thrives because so many people are passionate about giving back. Thankfully, this helped shape me as I grew up here.
I will give back by supporting community events with time and finances. Thus our staff will continue to volunteer at local dental clinics and to donate dental services in our office.
In addition, we will grow Cranford Dental’s online presence so that we can encourage others in our community using our blog and social media.
Comprehensive Dentistry
I resolve to help my patients achieve and maintain optimal dental health.
Comprehensive dentistry means that we focus on the whole mouth, and not just one tooth at a time. This approach helps us do dentistry that works well and lasts. As a result, we will give the patient what is best for the long term.
Mentor Others
I resolve to help others thrive and grow.
Our staff members have the same passion for dentistry that I do. Therefore, they need to know that I am here to help develop them into successful dental assistants and hygienists.
At Cranford Dental, we love to help students who show an interest in dentistry. Thus I will continue to welcome interns and observers to our office.
I want to be someone who future dentists, assistants, and hygienists can look to for advice and encouragement.
I am proud of Cranford Dental’s care for our community over many years. 2020 brings more opportunities to improve and grow as a dentist. I plan to continue to provide the same excellent level of care to our patients from our well trained dentists and staff.

The above resolutions follow an earlier post on What Makes a Good Dentist.
That post led us to resolve that we wanted to continue to be that Good Dentist: To serve our community well with ethical, quality dentistry.
